ARCHBISHOP CARROLL HIGH SCHOOL BUSINESS CHAMPION PROGRAM

Mission Statement:

To champion Archbishop Carroll High School by actively supporting the education and development of future business and community leaders.

Rationale:

The Archbishop Carroll High School Business Champion Program was developed in response to the many inquiries from individuals who seek a tangible way to help our youth prepare for college and the global workforce. This project is unique because it requires no financial obligation. Business leaders select a way to link with students that conforms to their interest and available resources. Participation in any one program component helps to prepare our students to successfully meet the challenges they will face as tomorrow's leaders.

Parents and educators have traditionally borne the responsibility of educating our young people. Given the challenges our youth face today, the larger community is playing a more active role in supporting learning institutions. In this regard, we believe the Champions' role is essential to our growth as a state-of-the-art college preparatory Catholic educational center -- one that integrates values and life with a strong academic core and co-curricular program of study.

About Archbishop Carroll High School:

Since 1951, Archbishop Carroll High School has maintained a strong tradition of excellence in Catholic education. As the first fully integrated Catholic high school in the Archdiocese of Washington, Carroll served an all male population for thirty-eight years. In 1989, following a merger with three other area Catholic schools, Archbishop Carroll shifted its focus to coeducation. Annually, we now serve more than six hundred college-bound students primarily from the District of Columbia and Prince George's County.
